George Papachristodoulou

Hi!

I’m George, a trainee counsellor currently in an accredited integrative counselling diploma. I support men, especially tradesmen, grieving fathers, and those recovering from religious trauma with content that speaks their language.

Before taking the leap to start training as a counsellor, I spent over a two decades in the trades as a qualified electrician, and this is how I put bread on my family table. I know what it’s like to feel pressure, to keep things inside, to push through grief and stress without help. That lived experience shapes everything I do.

Like my training I approach my content creating from a pluralistic perspective, drawing from psychodynamic, person-centred, and Transactional Analysis models, always tailored to what fits the post I’m working on.

My focus areas include:

-Men’s mental health: especially in blue-collar and working-class communities

-Grief, anger, and fatherhood

-Religious trauma and identity loss

-Emotional honesty, boundaries, and relationships

I also draw on the emotional power of music, video games, and horror culture to make sense of things and help others do the same.

My hope is to inspire men to do positive changes in their lives and encourage them to see the benefits of counselling and psychotherapy.

I spend my spare time with my son, reading, playing video games and different DIY projects.
